Great Blog Example

Standard

Mia Mania is an example of a great blog. http://bloggingwithmia04.edublogs.org/

  • Visually, this blog highlights colors I love, purple with soft blue.
  • The posts are conversational and friendly. Reading them feels comfortable and inviting.
  • Interesting widgets include the human calendar and flags showing the country of each visitor to the blog. The human calendar is particularly appealing and I may add it to my blog.

About Me Directions

Standard

An “About Me” post is essential to every blog. Write a post containing at least 125 words with the information listed below. Be as specific as needed so readers feel like they know you while being as vague as needed so the readers won’t show up at your doorstep.

  • First name
  • Generally where you live (California, Bay Area, small town in Northern California, etc)
  • School information: middle school your classes, sports, clubs, activities
  • Hobbies outside of school. (Best told in stories. Getting your first soccer ball at age 3 is very different than starting soccer last year.)
  • Personality (Include this in its own paragraph or weave it into your writing in general)
